began our analysis with one of the best adventure games by Lucas Arts , Day of the Tentacle, a cool game, which came to proceed to another good adventure game, Maniac Mansion, but this much prehistoric in terms of graphics. Argument
Day of the Tentacle begins a time elapsed after the events in Maniac Mansion. Of the six possible characters in the first game, only Bernard Bernoulli, a typical nerd, returns. This time, Bernard has an important role, because it brings her two friends, Hoagie and Laverne, back to the mansion. One of the two creations of Dr. Fred Edison, the Purple Tentacle, it takes a radioactive waste at the Mansion, growing two appendices stubby arms and an appetite for world domination. Bernard and his friends plan to go back in time, using Cron-O-latrines (or in English, "Chron-O-John 's) by Dr. Fred, to stop Purple Tentacle for those who never drank radioactive waste.
Unfortunately, using a rhinestone time machine Dr. Fred fails, leading to two hundred years Hoagie the past and Laverne two hundred years into the future (a future dominated by tentacles) and Bernard in the present. Bernard, with the help of green tentacle, a rock fraud, have to find a diamond to make the machine work, and Hoagie and Laverne must return to their Cron-O-latrines and connect to a power source, to return and conquer the purple tentacle. Day of the Tentacle is the classic style of notes-and-Click (point-and-click), originally established in Maniac Mansion. The players manage to characters using the mouse. To interact with the game world, players choose between a group of commands shown on the screen and then the object they want to interact. The game uses a setting of three characters at once, at three different times in history, with puzzles depending on the actions of each character. The actions carried out in the past have consequences in the future. Curiosities
- Max, Sam & Max, appears in one of the pictures of the mansion, in the past.
